Immunosurveillance is the name of process for immune system mediated elimination of tumor cells when needed. However, under progressive tumor conditions immunosuppressive factors are released which hamper the immune system of body to fight cancer. Our cancer cellular immunotherapy treatment works by infusion of activated immune cells, developed under lab conditions, into the cancer patient. In this therapy, patient's own immune cells are collected from blood and go thorough our specialized process in the lab under sterile conditions and infused back into the patients. It is personalized and specifically generated against the patient's tumor-specific antigens.
Our therapy aims to generate specific antitumor activity in cancer patients, which are normally immune-compromised. The antitumor response is mediated via activation of immune system. It improves the general health of patient. The major advantage is that it has almost no major side effects in contrast to chemo or radiation therapy that kills the healthy cells along with tumor cells.
Cellular Immunotherapy can be started at any stage of disease (stage I to IV). Its mode of action is independent to that of chemotherapy. However, cellular immunotherapy can be given along with 1st line of treatment. The clinical outcomes are best, if given immediately after surgery. It is a good option in patients resistant to chemotherapy. The clinical efficacy varies from patient to patient.
